Grand River Hospital’s Withdrawal Management Program provides short-term, non-medical residential support for individuals who are withdrawing from alcohol or drugs. The service is located in Kitchener, and can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Individuals may stay for a few days until their withdrawal symptoms have subsided. The centre can also assist with referrals to other services in the area such as residential treatment or outpatient counselling support. Individuals are encouraged to self-refer to this service, though professionals are also able contact the centre to inquire about bed availability.
