REVISED - Community Drug Alert - Increase in overdose/drug poisonings

The Overdose Monitoring Alert and Response System (OMARS) is issuing and Overdose Alert for Waterloo Region. There has been an increased number of overdoses/drug poisonings (31 reported cases) from August 31st to September 3rd. There can be increased risk of death from drug toxicity during very hot weather. *This alert was revised on September 7th 2023 to reflect the temporary change of operational hours at the CTS. For the month of September the site is open 9am-9pm Monday-Friday and 9am-6pm Saturday-Sunday (including holidays). The revised alert is linked above.
